According to the World Health Organization, the blockbuster drug of the 21stcentury is not an actual drug. It’s an attitude. Patient Engagement is at the center of the healthcare community’s top priorities in the United States and, at Line Health, it’s all we think about. We’ve been studying the matter and produced a whitepaper to share our knowledge. Here is what it’s all about:

Patient Engagement can be understood as getting patients more aware of and involved in their own care. Thus, we built a solution that empowers patients with the necessary tools to manage their own health. On the other side, it provides physicians and healthcare professionals with patient-centered solutions to develop stronger doctor/patient relations and to help them take better decisions on their treatments.

An engaged patient takes his/her medication as prescribed, uses technology to communicate with providers and understand his/her condition and adopts a healthy lifestyle in order to promote the success of the treatment. It will bring him/her to heal and recover faster, feel more satisfied with the quality of care and reduce associated costs up to 21%, when compared with a non-engaged patient. We believe this is the key for a sustainable healthcare system.
