핀시아 재단(Finschia Foundation, 의장: 고영수, 이하 핀시아 재단)이 아랍에미레이트(UAE) 국제금융자유구역 ‘아부다비 글로벌 마켓(Abu Dhabi Global Market, 이하 ADGM)’에 분산원장기술(DLT) 재단으로 등록되었다.
핀시아 재단은 라인의 블록체인 사업 자회사 라인테크플러스가 글로벌 웹3 사업 확장을 본격화하기 위해 지난 2023년 3월 설립한 재단 법인으로, 블록체인 대중화와 지속 가능한 토큰 모델을 실현하는 것을 목표로 한다.
핀시아 재단은 ADGM의 DLT(Distributed Ledger Technology) 재단 규정에 따라 등록되는 최초의 아시아 블록체인 프로젝트이다. 또, 핀시아 재단은 퍼블릭 블록체인 핀시아를 아부다비의 다양한 기업들과도 협력하여 글로벌 사용자들이 편리하게 사용할 수 있는 웹3 서비스를 개발할 예정이다.
핀시아 재단 고영수 의장(Chairman of the Finschia Foundation Council)은 “ADGM은 글로벌에서 가장 블록체인 사업 친화적이고 선도적인 디지털 자산 규제 환경을 발전시키고 있는 곳”이라며, “ADGM과의 협력을 통해 진일보를 만들 수 있을거라 기대하고 있다”고 말했다.
한편, 핀시아 재단은 자체 메인넷 핀시아를 퍼블릭 블록체인으로 업그레이드하여 다양한 영역의 파트너사 및 사용자들이 쉽게 이용할 수 있는 개방형 블록체인 플랫폼을 운영하고 있으며, 가상자산 ‘핀시아(FNSA)’의 유동성과 사용성을 확장해 나가고 있다.
