Pre-Notice of Finschia Mainnet 2.0 Upgrade
Hello, this is the Finschia Foundation.
Followed by the successful launch of the Finschia mainnet and the introduction of the consortium system to fortify ecosystem stability, we, the Finschia Foundation, are pleased to elevate the mainnet version to 2.0. This upgrade is strategically aligned to bolster the governance framework and enhance network stability, while concurrently fostering an environment conducive to the unencumbered development and onboarding of dApps and services onto the public chain.
Upgrade details
Finschia core pillar (finschia-sdk, Ostracon) updates:
- Cosmos-SDK upgraded to v0.45.10
- Tendermint upgraded to v0.34.24
Governance adjustment:
- Transfer of
FoundationTaxparameter management from Foundation(x/foundation)to On-chain governance(x/gov)
Enhanced functionality:
- Replaced libsodium VRF library with curve25519-voi for improved Ostraon’s Verified Random Function (VRF)
Infrastructure upgrade:
- Adoption of Go 1.20
Bug fixes:
- Resolution of issues impacting the total supply of Fungible Token(FT) in
x/collection

- Chain suspension and upgrade: 14:00–16:00 KST
- The suspension and resumption of deposits and withdrawals on FINSCHIA (FNSA) exchanges varies by exchange, so please check the exchange’s announcement.
