Nevermind B2B and B2C: why we got into the Business to People (B2P) sector
At Lingfy.com we work hard so our clients can have a simple and intuitive way to get translation services, performed by motivated professionals who are exclusively focused in doing what they know best: to write awesome texts!
We all know companies operating in one or both of the two different types of commerce transactions: Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B). Lingfy wants to meet our clients needs whether they’re private or business customers by providing quality translation, proofreading and transcription services. We know business is always done with people, so we operate exclusively in the Business to People (B2P) sector.
Our goal is to make human translation affordable to all consumers interested in expanding their activities beyond borders and to promote the intercultural dialog. We want to tread a new path and to invest in new ways and methods to improve the process of human translation. This way our clients can benefit from exceptional translations that allow them to increase the impact of their messages in new foreign audiences and to foster a relation of mutual trust and confidence.
On the other hand, we want to help translators to invest in new techniques that allow them to improve and simplify the way they work. We don’t resign ourselves when we’re told that it’s impossible to provide quality and fast services at competitive rates.
The human translation approach and the shortcomings of automatic translation
As an online Language Service Provider (LSP) fortunate enough to have a team of highly qualified native professionals, Lingfy works tirelessly to simplify the process of translation and to make the interaction between our clients and freelance translators easier. Our way to challenge the industry standards is to step into the shoes of our clients and translators, so we can better understand what can be improved to make their cooperation more efficient and, on the other hand, to leave behind all the cool features which can only cause more stress when trying to find quality translations.
We created an intuitive and simple online platform that our clients and translators can rely on. Usability is a top priority because in pursuing a functional and reliable website we eliminated unnecessary tools that can distract and drive away our clients when deciding the best services for them. On the other hand, we don’t want our translators to worry about crawling the web to look for work and filing in unnecessary job offers forms, so we created a straightforward platform because we want them to focus on creating top quality content.
Why we do it this way? Mainly because we value your time. We want you to easily access great translations made by experienced and highly skilled professionals who have a comprehensive knowledge and an invaluable understanding of the local customs and culture. If you have a daily need for a large translation volume of contents such as emails, internal communications, etc, it might make sense to use automatic translation to grasp the message. However, if you want excellent translations to grab an audience’s attention with exciting texts that carry away your image or of your company, then Lingfy is the answer you were looking for.
On the other hand, we help our translators to find motivating and challenging projects so they have the time to do what they really enjoy: writing awesome texts. We don’t look at our team of translators as a mere piece of the puzzle of profit like many other Language Service Providers with total disregard for their needs and expectations. Professional translators don’t have to exclusively be at the service of the profit of translation companies, correcting machine-translated content and correcting errors generated by algorithms.
Our translators are part of an heterogeneous and multicultural team where diversity isn’t only accepted but celebrated. Our team of professionals doesn’t deliver word by word translations forming a set of senseless sentences. They’re highly skilled people with qualities and flaws, but above all with emotions and feelings that inspire them to produce content that amazes us, going well beyond the economistic view of efficiency and accuracy of uninspiring texts paid at cheap rates.
We’re all different, but essentially equal
Lingfy actively promotes cultural diversity, mutual understanding and the establishment of bridges across people of different backgrounds. Nelson Mandela said: “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”
If your goal is to convince people at any cost to act in a certain way, to impose on consumers your products or services only because they’re cheaper, to promote acceptance without critical thinking, then you may write messages that might make sense but are certainly emotionless. However, if you want your audience to identify with yourself, to consider you a source of inspiration and motivation, to meet their aspirations and passions, you must write meaningful content and show who you really are.
At Lingfy that’s what makes get out of bed everyday. We aren’t really concerned about the next paycheck because what matters to us is meeting our clients expectations and promoting great working conditions for our team of translators. We face on a daily basis our biggest and only competition which is to be a better version of ourselves. Our goal is very simple: to have a big smile on our faces when we’re sure we’re producing beautiful and meaningful texts in which we devote our heart and soul.
Everything we do is aimed at improving ourselves and the world around us. We believe that true happiness is beyond accepting things the way they are and we feel it everyday when we challenge the status quo. For the same reason we believe traveling is the only thing you buy in life that makes you richer, we also think that it’s only through understanding the world around us that we can learn everyday and overcame our fear of dealing with the unknown. That way we can start moving in the right direction, the path of personal development and true professional achievement.
Our goal is to pursue sustainable growth
Those feelings inspired by a great text or a slogan that incites us to take action cannot be the result of a series of algorithms, tested in a computer where a “magic formula” is produced to be applied in different contexts. Geniality comes from the emotion that only people can feel and apply after a series of trials and errors. It’s the result of an invisible persistence that is employed on a daily basis when we struggle to be better than we were the day before. The effort and dedication are the submerged parts of an whole effort. Even though they’re not visible they’re the basis for success and the essential structures on which great work if founded.
I recently heard the Olympic champion, Usain Bolt, saying that the greatest difficulties he faces are on the practice track away from the spotlight of the main championships, the focus of TV cameras and the noise of the crowds. Those are the small daily obstacles which prevents the rest of us from achieving our goals and reach for something greater. He adds that the races where he won gold medals are the easy part, they’re just the result of an extraordinary and consistent effort applied over a long period.
In everyday life the rules are exactly the same because others only see a small part of what we do. It’s important to be accountable only to ourselves and our conscience as we always strive to do better. It doesn’t matter if our evolution is slow or fast, as long as there’s a constant evolution, so we can be grateful for what we’ve achieved. Lingfy is an young company still in its infancy in the business world, but that doesn’t stop us from being grateful for improving ourselves everyday. Our ambition is to share our story with people everywhere and continue growing always in a sustainable way and we would love to count on your support.
