Benefits and Disadvantages of Being a Male

Like most living creatures in the earth, human are categorized into male and female. Members in this two groups have their specific roles in human society. I believe it is not only biological problem, but also sociology and anthropology problem when we talk about gender roles.

Let’s focus on the most basic thing firstly. There are many differences between human body structure and gene of male and female. In human society, men are generally stronger than women because male are able to secretes androgens and testosterone which can promote muscle growth. This is the innate advantage of male human. Because of this innate advantage, male human are selected to engage in more physical work than women in primitive society to show women how reliable and powerful they are.

This tradition that male devote more on source of income has survived for the whole human history and still continues. So that’s a disadvantage for men which men should use more time and energy on their work to show women how reliable they are and to support their family financially. As a creature, if a male human is more powerful sexually and financially than his mate, he can dominate and decide almost everything in his family. Also, male can contribute their time to try to being with different females before 40 years old, in average. But as traditional female, their beautiful appearance will eventually fade after 40 years old. In that age, a female with less advantages than male is hard to find a mate. In human society, male have more responsibilities because of biological and sociology factor. Therefore, the more responsibility a creature has, the more enjoyment a creature can get.
