The importance of language is inevitably important in our daily life. Due to the help of language, we can talk to each others, we can read books as well as making friends from different family background. But, the importance of language is far more than these.

Firstly, language helps people record their ideas so that their thoughts can still be understand by their offsprings after a few decades or even centuries. For example, Confucius, one of the greatest educator and philosopher in ancient China, has many special ideas towards politics and education. It’s the book “Lunyu” which helps us understand Confucius’ significant thoughts. Even if some his idea may not be applied to our current society so well, the way that most Chinese people think about education and politics is highly affected by Confucius.

Also, how widely a language is used represents how widely a culture is spread. For example, currently the most widely used language is English, which in my hypothesis means that the culture of English spoken countries are the most widely admitted. Take China as an example, a growing amount of people in China are able to understand and speak English, they are embracing western culture. Foe example, they celebrate western holidays, admit western customs etc.
