This is a time where globally, organizations are considering how their team should work to maintain optimal health. This is a decision that can only be made by each unique organization. After studying collaboration and the effectiveness of teams over the last eight years, there are a few things we have learned. Technology has given us an amazing gift of flexibility. We can accomplish much within the remote and virtual world.

As your company decides how to best work in the next few months ahead remember to preserve the health of your company culture. To do that you need to have an excellent remote work policy in place. Forbes recently wrote an article on 15 Culture Building Tips for an All Remote Team. It is easy to respond to work needs systematically and sacrifice the culture of your company. If doing so it can result in isolation, please read an article we wrote on the impact of isolation within an organization. Our world has given us the beautiful option to respond to cultural events with agility. However, nothing can replace the face-to-face connection. Please incorporate work remote and do it well. Save that face-to-face connection whether it’s through technology or human connection. To have a thriving culture you need both. Please reach out if there’s any way we could help your team during this time of transition.
