This past weekend, Linkcoin was an official sponsor at the Blockchain Impact Summit! With over 500 registered attendees, and over 25 companies occupying the event as either official sponsors, and/or having an official product booth, the event was a resounding success. After meeting several key industry players, investors, and likeminded founders & CEO’s, Linkcoin fostered many new relationships and partnerships that will boost its network and allow them to service their customers in new and exciting ways! Below are some of the companies and individuals that Linkcoin was fortunate enough to meet during Friday’s jam packed event:

Friday:

Media:

The impact summit was a great oppotunity for Linkcoin to gain some media exposure and showcase its’ OTC trading platform to a large audience. We optimized every opportunity available to us, as our founder and CEO Blues Qin did 5+ media interviews while also participating as a keynote speaker during the conferences speaking sessions!

Education:

Over the course of the event, Linkcoin was able to meet a number of companies whose focus surrounds Blockchain education & awareness. Most notably, was Toronto’s own ‘Blockgeeks’, a Blockchain education and consulting agency. The conversation was preliminary in nature, but Linkcoin’s development team was able to talk to some of their blockchain instructors to brainstorm how Linkcoin can be used as an educational tool to help onboard new customers into the market. It was a very healthy dialogue and it was a pleasure meeting them!

Investment:

With both the Blockchain Impact Summit, and the Elevate Conference taking place last week, Toronto truly was a hub for blockchain investors. This gave Linkcoin exposure to a host of international investors. Some were neighbors as close-by as Vancouver, while others came from north-of-the-border states like California and Southern Carolina. Others even came all the way from China & South Korea to see the landscape of Canada’s strongest blockchain sector. Over the course of the weekend Linkcoin was also able to continue building on what has already been a very productive relationship with ‘Node Capital’, an investment firm based in China. While details of the conversation must remain ‘hush-hush’ for obvious reasons, Linkcoin is very happy to announce that good things are on the horizon!

Saturday:

Linkcoins private pitching contest and networking event:

On top of Friday’s stellar event, Linkcoin also hosted a private function on Saturday morning for investors & startup’s in Toronto’s Blockchain community. While this event only lasted till noon, over 50 people showed up, and 6 companies came to pitch their products in front of Siri Srinvas, an adviser for ‘Draper Associates’; the VC arm of ‘Draper University’. This provided a great opporunity for startups to pitch their product, network, and gain invaluable insight into what investors are looking for when evaluating blockchain startups. We would just like to give a huge thanks to all the companies who attended Saturdays event and to Ms. Srinvas, who took time out of her busy Saturday to listen to these great companies pitch their products!

All in all, Linkcoin enjoyed a very productive weekend where it was able to meet investors, collaborate with other companies in the space, and receive feedback from end-users about the kind of quality and functionality they expect from blockchain focused products & services.
