Our Rebrand of 2019–2020

The introduction of new technologies and the inherent need to understand and adopt is often met with resistance and hesitation. Though we are all faced with the same problems, most efforts to change go unrealised. Subsequently, the need for open-sourced products and tools, coupled with decentralised systems is becoming increasingly important in our opaque world. What we need to provide in this new world is evidence & proof.

This is why at Linum Labs, we take an evidence-based approach to blockchain and web3.0 technology. This ideal is now reflected in our rebrand, and we warmly invite everyone to be a part of it.

Who we are

At Linum Labs we have been building decentralised solutions since early 2016.

We are a team of pioneers, developers, and digital implementers who create and inspire positive change through web3.0 technologies. Our work with international clients has allowed us to draw on a myriad of life experiences and expertise. We utilise web3.0 technology to unlock new opportunities and improve upon existing systems.

Where we are headed

As a kick-ass team of decentralised individuals working towards a common goal of changing the world, we have to ask ourselves,

“How we are going to do this in the long term?”

We are striving towards this by:

• Expanding our position as a prominent reference for the potential of web3.0 technology, and making a positive impact on the world.

• Increasing the number of educational resources available to developers in the web3 space through content creation and community collaboration.
• Being an example for other companies in the decentralised space through the use of a number of forward-thinking work methodologies, including; managing and growing a remote team, developing through agile principles and staying true to our values.
• Creating a strong and knowledgeable team where every member is heavily research-driven and invested in our decentralised future.

Our Creative Solution

The creative solution we considered for this rebrand was the idea of LAYERS.

Our layers consist of: development, products, experience, networks, and the interconnected nature of open-source development. These layers also represent the depth and breadth of our building capabilities, stacked on top of the bedrock of our evidence-based approach. We have a broad range of focus within the blockchain ecosystem, layers of knowledge that we bring to each of our projects. Thus, our rebrand showcases how all these layers work together and when interlocked, create a robust springboard for innovation.

Our Colour Palette

The underlying creative concept for the visual design system of the brand is now emphasised by the heavy use of geometric shapes, colour-blocking, and lined contours.

Alluding to the OpArt artistic movement, and using a contrasting black, white and red colour palette, shows that we are bold and brave. This is in line with a revolutionary feel of an early 20th-century era to take forward into the 21st century of new discoveries and solutions.

Our Logo

Another aspect of the new art direction in our rebrand is to capture the essence of the Linum Labs team as it was, and where it aims to go in the future.

This is why the new logo is a reflection of our previous logo in lined art. Through this, we have remained true to our core beliefs, and pay homage to our roots, and all the people who have built our team along the way by using the frame of our old logo to remind us of where it all began.

Our Brand Story

We have kept up and changed with the times, we built upon new platforms, and now with a three-point strategy of employing a user-centric, evidence-based and research-driven approach, we aim to accelerate change. We want to build solutions that unlock new opportunities and improve upon existing systems. Our outward appearance may have changed, but the vision of our team working together to make a change has not.
