You don’t need them but, you’ll be glad you know them.... Eventually.

Your Computer Desktop's GUI is how you do your everyday tasks whether you're on Windows, Mac or Linux and honestly for everyday users that's all you need.

For one task or another you might use "ipconfig" on Windows, "ifconfig" on Linux and maybe "whois" if you don’t want to use the web for information on a domain and in most cases that’s it. Oh, I almost forgot you may want to play around with "color help" on Windows and watch the terminal you’ll never use change colors, classic! I used to enjoy doing that. Hostname and ipconfig is all I did so it was obviously colorful.

Today's story is different though so here's the first command you may want to try on Linux that may change the game for you bit and that is;

1. PS
This command displays the running processes on your Operating System. To give you an ideia we can compare this to your task manager on Windows. Linux distros also have a similar app but that's a story for another day. If you type PS on your command line what you get is usually
Bash and PS because that's all that is running right? Well, kind of allow me to explain;
