Last week we have been pretty busy, though there isn’t much to actually show, so I will just go through it quickly.

Swarms Integration

I have met with Swarms to see where we can integrate support for interacting with swarms.finance, but also to ask for DAO advice as we are going to fund 0.1% of each swap to a community fund that is going to be managed by the community through a DAO so you can vote to financially support developers/projects. We will dive deeper into that when the fund is ready.

Integrating Swarms into a wallet is a must have for DAO’s. This way it is easy to get notifications for new proposals to vote on, and you can easily check proposals and vote directly within the wallet application. We are dedicated to implement Swarms this year in Linx Wallet.

WalletConnect

Since Kadena released the KIP17 for the WalletConnect standard, we are updating our WalletConnect implementation so it follows that standard and any DApp can interact with Linx Wallet if they follow it as well. The next update will be fully KIP17 compatible.

Public Release

We are still working through Apple approval, which is a big hurdle before we can move to a public release of Linx Wallet. We hope we can settle this soon but we have decided to at least release the Android version when it is ready, so you can expect a public beta release in April 2023.

Other than that, we’re implementing some UI tweaks, making the wallet gas-free, enabling testnet and devnet and finalising the swap experience.

So although we are pretty busy, it might not look that way as we don’t have much to show visually. We are very excited to be coming close to a public release, so everyone can experience how you can interact with Kadena without the feeling you are dealing with 20 chains.
