It is time again for some design leaks, this week it’s not only Linx-related, but also about helping out fellow community members with some design issues on their projects.

Linx — Simplified

Our main goal is to have a wallet ready for a billion users on every level. This means it needs to be idiot proof, feel and look very simple and hide all complexity.

We tweaked some things on the home screen to make it compatible with all screen sizes, even the really small ones.

Transaction Preview

We extremely simplified the transaction preview. Since Linx takes care of the gas and we decided to only show the overview of all transactions, the preview screen feels really simple. It looks like any other blockchain, no chains, no complicated stuff, just a transfer. Of course when you want to see this you can tap on ‘Detailed Transaction View’ and it will show you all the separate transactions for each chain.

If you want to have more control over gas settings, you can tap on ‘Network Fee’ and it gives you the option to set a custom gas price and gas limits for all transactions. So the experience is as simple as possible, yet you can have full control if you want to.

Swap

We also simplified the swap UI a bit. When you want to swap it is just a matter of selecting the tokens and entering the amount. You will see the amount you’ll get in return and when you press ‘Next’ Linx will create the necessary transactions and start the swap for you.

By default the setting for swap are in your best interest and Linx picks the best exchange to get you the best return. If you want to change these things, you can click ‘Show Swap Details’ and have full control over the exchange(s), slippage etc.

Community Work

This week I took some time to help a community member redesign his website and improve his business. Why? If it is one thing where a community can shine it is helping and supporting other community members.

After that Floppie immediately pimped me out to the next community member. We love to help where we can, because that is where we truly can all grow together. Maybe this is something we can do more often, who knows.

That’s it for this week.
