Did you know that there is a surfing championship for dogs?
No, it is not a joke! Huntington Beach in California is not only a desirable spot for humans. For the last five years, it has been hosting a real Annual World Dog Surfing Championship! All funds gathered during the championship go to charities for animal protection.
During the championship the board of judges evaluates not only the distance that dogs were able to cover on a surfboard but also how confident they are on a surfboard. The most talented participants can ride the waves facing backwards!
