The 2019 Clorox Bleach is entirely clear from rim-to-rim, remarkable for only being bottled recently. Notes of indoor swimming pool, freshly sanitized high school cafeteria, and the corner laundromat waft over the glass. All you need is one sip though to get that burning sensation that the Clorox house-style is known for. The finish goes on forever — I can still feel it in my throat an hour later. Some may consider it overpowering.

The level of consistency that the Clorox team has achieved is remarkable. The 2019 vintage is indiscernible from the 2018, which was identical to the 2017. This is the first bottle of the 2019 that I have popped this year since we stocked up in early March. You can drink this today as I do not think there is much upside to cellaring.

The Clorox Company was started in 1913 out of Oakland. To procure Clorox, you do not have to sign up for a mailing list — bottles are available in your local supermarket, though they have been hard to come by of late!
