Creating a New Lisk Account

As the Lisk launch approaches, many are still asking on how to create a new account. We have created this blog post to display how simple it is to create a new account on the Lisk platform.

Every ICO participant can still use his passphrase from the ICO website. This guide just explains how to create a new account if necessary.

1. Get access to a secured and encrypted Lisk client.

There are two ways access the Lisk client. You can either install it on your computer or use our official web login.

• After a local client installation, go to: 127.0.0.1:8000
• If you use the official web login, go to: https://login.lisk.io/

You should now be at the login screen.

2. Click on “NEW ACCOUNT” to create a new account.

A modal will pop up which will guide you through the necessary steps.

3. Save the passphrase at multiple secure locations!

Then click on “NEXT STEP” to get to the passphrase confirmation step.

4. Confirm your passphrase by re-entering it.

After you click on “CONFIRM” your new account is successfully created and you will be redirected to the account.

Please note!

• Each passphrase is associated with a unique Lisk account. Anyone with access to your passphrase will have an entrance to your Lisk account!
• You cannot change your passphrase for a given account. If you wish to change your passphrase, this will result in a change of Lisk address.
