Lisk Welcomes Four New Hires — Yashar, Gina, Juan and Nazar

The end of the year is quickly approaching and we are in full-power mode. We assured you that we wouldn’t take a break from bringing more talent to Lisk. Over the last month, we welcomed four new team members to the Berlin office. They join us from different parts of the globe as diversity continues to be one of the main pillars of our organization.

Lisk October Recap

Earlier this month, we announced that we’ve teamed up with award-winning digital marketing agency Expand Online to expedite the implementation of online marketing activities. The company will serve as a strategic advisor and support us in our goals to make blockchain technology accessible to all. The agency’s client roster includes Microsoft, eBay, KLM, adidas, Zalando and many more.

Lisk has also launched a number of social media campaigns over the last few weeks. If you follow us on Instagram (@LiskHQ), you may have seen our #PeopleOfLisk series in which we get up close and personal with our team members. We’ve been learning interesting (and funny) facts about one another.

We also want to say we’re thrilled to see an increase in the number of Lisk meetups being held around the world. Our community leaders in the US, Europe and Australia have and will continue to host a number of meetups. Lisk will also be hosting an official meetup in Berlin on November 22.

Although we won’t reveal the Lisk rebrand during the November 22 meetup, we will share important news and the date of the launch. In addition, we’ll release a comprehensive Lisk Meetup Kit that includes guidelines and pointers to assist you in successfully hosting your very own Lisk Meetup in your city.

To wrap up our October recap, we’ve recently released the latest version of our wallet, Lisk Nano 1.2.0. This release brings several long-awaited improvements that you can read about on our blog. Or get straight to business and download Lisk Nano 1.2.0.

New Development Hires

New Development Hires for Lisk Team

Yashar Ayari has been a Frontend Engineer for Lisk since June 1, but moved to Berlin to join the team at the office on October 23. Originally from Iran, his hobbies include teaching himself new coding techniques and playing video games. Yashar has spent a number of years as a Frontend Developer at his previous companies.

Our only native Berliner on the team, Gina Contrino started working for Lisk as a Frontend Developer on October 2. Her previous experience is in frontend and backend development. Coding is something she enjoys doing both in and out of the office. When she isn’t coding, she is most likely reading books.

Straight from Minnesota to Berlin, Juan González joined Lisk on October 2 as a DevOps Engineer. His background is predominantly in DevOps and software development, particularly in C. Juan spends his free time developing software and is also a fan of Magic the Gathering.

Our newest Backend Developer to join the team is Nazar Hussain. He began working for Lisk on October 23. Nazar comes to Berlin from Pakistan where he was formerly a Senior Architect at Ekomi. In his spare time, he enjoys writing as well as reading.
