“Listamania”© — why do you write?

As I mentioned last week, I love making lists, to do lists, mental task lists, motivational lists, and so on. Today, I would like to share my list of why I write:

1. To muddle through a thought or concern with like-minded people
2. To cut through my own bullshit (very hard to bullshit yourself when you have to write a thought down in a list)
3. I love to read
4. I don’t know if I can write — list making forces me to write no matter what
5. I want to be creative
6. I want to get to know myself and others better
7. Writing enables me to “go deeper”
8. To connect with people
9. To share with others
10. I love to learn different ways of thinking about a problem or a unique observation — like Stella J. thoughts on emojis :)
11. I love writing
12. Why do you write?
