Podcast distribution and hosting is usually provided by the same company.
Such as:
When distributing your podcast to places such as Apple Podcasts, Google Play and Spotify. The show needs hosting so that an RSS feed’s generated. That RSS feed’s submitted to all podcast destinations one by one. Once approved, future show’s go on distribution autopilot so long as the ID3 tags are compliant.
I use Libsyn for a few this. When you first set up your hosting, that platform will walk you through submitting your show to most major destinations.
