Reasons for Trump’s Tariff Lunacy
Failing President Donald J. Trump Senior’s (R-Florida) tariff lunacy is out of control. Trump’s latest stupidity is a 125% tariff on Chinese products.
Thus, Trump plans to raise the cost of the products ordinary Americans actually buy by 125% and destroy the Republican Party. Trump claims this tariff will create jobs. China is America’s largest trading partner responsible for 17.5% of US trade in 2022. We’re not so sure. Interestingly, Chinese President Xi Jinping, who actually knows Trump, is calling the Donald’s bluff and retaliating with an 84% tariff on US imports.
Trump is pausing tariffs on such great economic powers as Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, New Zealand, Uruguay, Iceland, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and Moldova. How this will boost our economy is unknown. Cynics will say this is racism.
However, we want to mock Trump and encourage him to destroy himself and Republicans. In particular, Democrats want the tariffs to continue so they will have an enormous Congressional majority and the White House in 2029. Therefore we shall list rationales for Trump’s tariff lunacy.
