Reasons Senator Joe Manchin loves the Filibuster

Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) who has replaced Ted Cruz (R-Texas) as America’s most hated US Senator has gone all in on the filibuster.

The filibuster is the imaginary rule that gives US Senators enormous amounts of time to play golf with lobbyists. To explain, the filibuster which is not a law or in the Constitution, requires a 60-member vote of the US Senate to pass some legislation. That means it is impossible to pass any legislation that helps ordinary people.
