Reasons why Congress is Wonderful

Intelligent people know that America’s national legislature; the United States Congress, is a disgrace. Congress is corrupt, stupid, incompetent, unrepresentative, racist, sexist, behind the times, and dedicated to workplace practices the average street gang would not tolerate.

This situation is not new. Back in the 19th Century, Mark Twain had some nice descriptions of Congress that still ring true today. For example:

“Fleas can be taught nearly anything that a Congressman can.”
