Ridiculous new Ballot Referendums

The success of Brexit shows any ballot referendum can pass no matter how ridiculous it is.

For example, “magic mushrooms” will be on Colorado’s ballot this fall. Similarly, people in five US states will vote on slavery this fall. Didn’t the Civil War settle that issue? Moreover, Arkansas residents will vote on freedom of religion. We think the First Amendment to the Constitution settles that issue.
