What Kamala Harris can do for America’s Billionaires
America’s billionaires need help. The combined wealth of these poor people was $5.529 trillion on 18 May 2024, the Institute for Policy Studies estimates. Their wealth grew by 87.6% from $2.58 trillion in 2020, the Institute estimates.
However, the poor billionaires have many problems. For example, billionaires think they pay too much tax. They also hate criticism for being too rich.
Fortunately, our leaders hear the billionaires’ concerns and want to help them. Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump Senior (R-Florida) wants to prevent former US Speaker of the House Paul Ryan’s (R-Wisconsin) massive tax cut from expiring in 2025.
Meanwhile, Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris (D-California) proposes a package of tax cuts that will keep the capital gains tax lower to help billionaires keep more of their wealth. Hence, our leaders feel the billionaires’ pain and want to help them.
