Bob Granger looked at his plane ticket to check the seat number more out of habit than need. Not that it mattered much when the whole world had frozen and crashed like Windows 95, a veritable blue screen of death. Reboot. What a mess.

The airport looked like a ghost town. He’d never seen it so empty before; and Bob was a seasoned traveler, having racked up innumerable frequent flyer miles over the years. He couldn’t even hazard a guess…
