Afternoon Light

Afternoon light
hazy pink light
falls on roads and
frames blooming
bougainvillea, traffic
too busy to see the
rose of the light as it
falls on metal, still the
hues fall coloring
the landscape with its
palette of blush. The sun
filtered through leaves, only
passes down the watermelon hues
I stop and stand on the road
getting showered in rose.
