Faceless

I’m thrown into the void where faceless monsters reside.
I can’t trust anyone but myself.
They speak of their identities so loud, so proud;
I am almost deceived.
With all my might, I run towards nothingness;
The black spell of these faceless follows me.
In the dark, glitters of counterfeit stones whisper and sing;
I am mesmerized.
I’m awakened by a weak cry —
I mustn’t allow them to borrow my face!
For when I do, I’ll never get it back,
and I will be faceless as they are.
What can I do when all I see is shadows?
Their black hands are creeping, feeling my skin.
What must I do when smoke is filling up the hole in me?
And I suffocate…
Frozen, I hear my mind laughing. Who am I mocking?
Void is bottomless, vanity is infinite.
What I’m attracting, I’m attracted to.
I watch myself turn into that monster
wearing countless faces — and so, I am Faceless.
