A poem about glorious endings

The day ends in glory
and splendor,
a blaze of color
until it fades.

Fire flames high
in a burst of passion
before it dies.

Maples flame gold
and crimson
before leaves wither
and drift downward.

Her passion and zest
blaze higher and higher
before she bids
goodbye.
