I Am The Pulse

The breath between heartbeats

I am the whisper
in the rift of day,
a fleck of silence
drifting
through the slant of dusk.

A wordless cry
in the cold sea’s churn,
where echoes twist
and coil
in forgotten fathoms.

I cradle shadows,
hands empty,
crisp with the bite of newness,
the uncharted chill
of a life unwrapped.

My veins are tangled threads
of unspoken dreams,
knots of a world
spun
from the fiber of hesitation.

In the mirror’s glint,
I see a glimmer,
a wraith of yesterday’s dawn
fading
in the dance of drifting moments.

I am the pulse
behind the silence,
the breath between heartbeats,
the echo
that never quite returns.
