I’ll Grow Cold

I’ll grow cold with fire in my heart
and love on my lips
and bright blood in my bones

Fearing no more to tread
Fearing no more to speak
Fearing no more to live and love

I’ll grow cold and still

and some may mourn
though I tell them
Hush
Be still

I am the air that floats
I am the sun that shines
I am the leaves that fall
I am the rain that trickles
rinses
pours

I am all this and yet more

I am the world in a single breath released
