The unclad ground
froze in the frosty air.
The altruistic trees fret on the
sight of the trembling ground.
Out of agony, the leaves
started losing their luster.
Abstained from food, they
turned from enticing
green to stale brown.

At the peak of distress,
the leaves withered.
The trees shed their leaves which
looked like an unstoppable sob.
They least knew that their
fallen leaves blanketed the ground
to keep them warm for rejuvenation.
The act of compassion turned into
an exquisite scenery called
“Autumn Equinox”.
