His family’s transition from their old life hadn’t gone smoothly. It seemed that his parents’ past would always follow them. Or perhaps they couldn’t bear to leave their past behind.

In the latest town which had become their home, the school was the best the boy had ever attended. Unfortunately, though, he had now moved around too many times to catch up with his studies.

He failed his final exams, as expected.

Over the summer, he escaped to his dream world daily. His parents wanted him to find a job to support their lingering gambling addiction but he just lay in his bed, plugged in and dreaming.

One day, he failed to wake up.

He had made his own transition.
