In this moment
I was searching for
a way to tell you
that you make me feel
at home within myself,
that, every hour with you
feels like it was meant to be
and although it scares me
I still let myself fall
r i g h t
i n t o you.
Arms wide open
you usher me in
and hold me
as if my skin
has been waiting
for your arrival.
And when I nestle in you
there is no internal struggle
no battle with myself
or my body. It craves
to be near you
to be under and over you
until exhaustion
is upon us and then it
craves it again.
And I am so close
to telling you that
my h e a r t
is with y o u
and your eyes they
beg me to admit it,
your smile entices me
to raise my hand
to your cheek,
stare into the blue
of your eyes and say
“I think I’m falling in love with you”
at this moment
my courage is building
just enough to maybe
usher the words
and you, you fall asleep
in my arms, and I,
I know
there is always
tomorrow,
time brings forth a sign
and I f o l l o w.
