Memories lie hidden
in unopened boxes
within (con)sealed envelopes
mailed to myself
by some other self
trying to protect
my poems
from an angry third self
hell bent on destroying them.
Inspired by you
I have made a cup of tea today
set it on the box with
thousands of poems unseen
perhaps it will set them free.
Or at least free me.
