Of Meetings and Ends

You walk the earth

Every day

But never see

Its ends

***

Yet they say

It stretches

Far and wide

But has its limits

***

Eventually…

Somewhere, somehow,

We will meet too

We two

***

Until on a sunset

Together

We do

Watch and depart.

***

Convenience?

Coincidence?

Acquaintance?

What meeting

***

Is it for you?

What relationship,

friend or foe?

Puzzling questions

***

For sure!

To stop is to

Be in the way.

To not stay is

***

A statement

Of farewell and adieu

To you

and all I once knew.
