One Droplet Drowning

When grief joins grief

Rain always finds where it needs to go

So too these tears flow
down my cheeks
rest amongst
the very hairs on your head

Seeping
into the spaces between you r
f r a g m e n t e d thoughts

Channeling
through the pieces of you r
br ok en heart

filling
f l o w i n g
rushing
f l o o d i n g

My sadness
offered
your pain
accepted

one droplet now

drowning
forever

drifting
with purpose

in this river of pain
