The Best Day to Come
Lit Up — April’s Prompt: Inspired Poetry
The sun sits uneasy
its form
slowly becoming undone
The lights that
began to flicker
are just
the stars losing
their place
The ground
the ground
trembles in fear
But I can’t
speak of what
It just rumbles
giving warning that
any moment we
may find our way under it
Thunder
Flames
Waves
All just variations of beauty
Shades
And here I sit here knowing
I couldn’t ask for a better day
