The Last
Tercets in Free Verse
Silently on the shore so slightly
Whispering in the warm salty air
Off-white sandy grains between
Sky a profusion of strange fuchsia
Neither pink nor purple awashed
Water greying in the dreary dusk
Darkness quietly permeates within
The other side awaiting an endless
Sleep successive waves dreaming
Empty irresolutely encompassing
Last sentence flickering uncolored
Light of all their imaginary shadows
Dissolves groundlessly beneath all
Suns setting melancholy for one last
Ray of remembrance radiating away
Memories is all that is left crumbling
Sadly and joyful in togetherness felt
Lonely the embrace in peaceful pure
Time ends, seeing evaporates alone
Wispy membranes of a reality fades
Away into the colorless awakenings
