Set in western Pennsylvania on Memorial Day weekend of 1988, The Plunge Pool follows a working class engineering student in a tale of boy kisses girl — boy loses girl — boy and his friends take a road trip to a rural swimming hole — chaos ensues — boy escapes and maybe learns something about himself.
