What If …

What if
time was sucked into a vortex
and we became lost in nowhere?
Will being nowhere change
who we become tomorrow?

You say nowhere is not
where we are mean’t to be.

What if
tomorrow doesn’t come,
but yesterday is dead ahead of us
and to continue on …
we must go back to yesterday?
Could we undo yesterday?

You say what’s done is done.

What if
on the other side of yesterday
we could touch tomorrow,
but only if we circle back in time?
Must we go back through today?

You say we must move on.

But what if
I can’t move on?
I’ve been to today
and you were gone.

You say nothing.
