whispered prayers:

Now I’m getting up from bed
Too much crap in my head
As I compile my list to do
In my heart I think of you
Another day of routine chores
Wishing I was with you and yours
And silently a prayer as I open my eyes
For patients and peace, please make me wise.
Let this day be fair and bid me well
As I journey into hell
Grant him healing, mend his mind
Give him peace and please be kind
Don’t be too harsh or raise my voice
Remembering he has no choice.
