Litentry this week: Introduction to Litentry WebApp

🍂 The very first weekly report of the fall.

Litentry WebApp is one of the core products in our decentralized identity aggregation protocol. At present, WebApp has four functional sections, covering Identity, Funds, Governance and NFT. Last week we covered in detail the five main features in the NFT Pallet, and this week we’ll take a comprehensive look at each of the existing pallets in WebApp.

  1. Identity
WebApp — Identity — Change On-Chain Identity

The Identity Pallet is one of the front-end entries to the Litentry Registrar. The Registrar currently supports the Kusama Network, Litentry parachain and Polkadot in the future. The Registrar provides the tool to connect and aggregate Web 2 identities so that users can connect their identities across different networks and the Registrar will automatically authenticate and evaluate those identities. The authentication process is fully automated, with no human intervention on the server. In most cases, the authentication process can be completed in a matter of minutes. The identity board currently supports aggregation and verification of various identity information, including the user’s real name, email address, Twitter account, Element and a third party website identity. After that, the Identity board will have the Account Linker pallet to support the aggregation and authentication of Web 3 identities.

2. 资金(Funds)

WebApp — Funds — Transfer Funds

The Funds Pallet covers two main sub-sessions: Transfer Funds and Token Migration.

  • Transfer Fund supports asset transfer between two parachain addresses. Because there is no wallet to support transfer with Litentry parachain at present, and the transfer function provided by Polkadotjs is not very convenient for users, Litentry specifically developed this function for inter-account transfer of LIT tokens.
  • Token Migration is designed to make it easier for users to migrate their existing ERC20 LIT onto the Litentry mainnet. If the user needs to use the functions of the Litentry mainnet and transfer assets to another parachain address when the mainnet goes live, token migration is required. The user will use Metamask in the WebApp to connect to their ERC20 LIT address to transfer the token. Read the previous weekly report for more details on token migration.

3. Governance

WebApp — Governance — Treasury

The Governance Pallet provides users with tools to participate in governance across the Kusama and Polkadot networks. It includes four sub-sections: Treasury, Council, Referendums and Tips.

  • Treasury: Users can view the current proposals and the proposals that have been approved.
  • Council: Users can see the number of members of the Council, the election countdown of the Council members, and so on.
  • Referendums: Updates on current votes on proposals.
  • Tips: Users can see the tips, including from whom, the object, the reason, and can create a tip.

The Governance board also has a corresponding mobile APP, which informs the user in real-time with the latest governance news in Polkadot and Kusama.

4. NFT

WebApp — NFT — Create an NFT Class

The NFT Pallet has five main functions: Create, Mint, Claim, Transfer and Burn. For more details on the NFT section, please read the previous weekly report.

The number of claims is not limited, the user can claim once every 4*n hours (n = The number of NFT minted at the current address), while the last.

Chinese Opera masks have unique artistic value and aesthetic significance in traditional Chinese art. Each mask symbolizes the appearance, characteristics, status, and fate of the character, showing a high collection value.
