Just to find Myself

There is a line from a poem that says
"Man travels far to find out who he is"

I'd like to add or expand on that

“Man travels far to find out who he is
only to discover he was only lost
because he traveled away from himself”

So many of us have spent years, perhaps decades traveling away from ourselves wrongly in search of ourselves only to have arrived, a lifetime later, to discover , one only needed to have stood in the silence of understanding and we could have save years of wondering in the wilderness of the unknown.
