Bathed In A Summer’s Sun

Trickling water, twinkling silk of summer;

my thoughts languish over the dips of your waves

and scatter among the ripples.

Shoulders lay

to freshly tickled ground,

which feet touch more delicately,

for eyes to search more thoroughly,

across buoying movements

of bathed heads;

whose fluttering fabrics

dance among the flowerbeds.

Deep breaths

— feels the warmth of air’s caresses.

Head tilts

— to brush cheeks with veils of sun.

I close my eyes ,

in a dream of chittering voices,

to hear softly hummed summer lullabies.
