you can’t force the truth
to be tailored
the way you want

stabbed by the truth
— she fell there
— she felt bare

choked by its claws
— she lost pace
— she went pale

held by its grip
— she gone numb
— she got sunk

damned by the truth
— fade she did
— soul she bid
