Dark Corner

Jul 24, 2017 · 1 min read

In the corner where crickets hide
Where darkness and silence rule
Is where I and the universe collide
And a pen is my only tool

I see stars of different hues
Their colours filling my head
I see the world from different views
From the towers to my bed

The music I hear is the nature’s sound
Not the screams or the cries
I love the solitude I found
Though I’m only avoiding the lies

For soon enough, there are battles I need to face
In which I cannot lose
The things I have to embrace
The ones I didn’t choose

The corner is my soul’s cradle
Where my heart could take rest
Where no one gives me labels
Where I don’t have the best.
