I had been lost, searching, drowning in
introspection
when you came along.

Not realizing I’d find myself, my home, in
another
then we promised forever.

Like a tsunami there were peaks, valleys in
us
as we grew.

Years passed happily, intricately in
time
we melded together.

We became one, opposite, the same in
ourselves
dreaming together.

We stretched ourselves, breaking apart
together
we found ourselves again.

In love we became again, no longer drowning in
anger
fear disappeared.

So we loved anew, fresh, strengthened in
revolution
renewed in our passions.

We were searching, looking, drowning in
possibilities
until we knew.

She came with cries, smiles, searching in
us
her safety, security, family.
