Insomnia

Squinting through the window pane,

I met glimpses of darkness in rain.

Making love, verymuch in spry,

With the moon in a starlit sky.

He was dark, and she was fair,

And they seem to make a pair.

Like the old time’s Romeo and Juliet,

Embracing each other, in cupid’s chariot.

His fingers were like a painter’s brush,

Grazing her curves and valleys in rush.

They kept squirming like a snake and its mate,

I kept tranced in a voyeuristic state.

The clock kept ticking like a merciless beast,

The Sun rose like a fiend, from the east.

Showing no mercy to the romancing couplet,

He just stood there, flaring at them doublet.

They were scared, standing on their feet,

Yet they tried, to best the Sun’s heat.

I just lurked there watching them three,

Waving bye to an insomniac spree!
