Moon Sets on Paths

broken dawn
dreams splitting my future
the moon sets on
paths taken or not
dependent on false stories
but I do believe in dreams
some strong messaging
comes out of sleep
like the guy proselytizing
through a megaphone on the corner
muffled by the rolled up windows
turn signal clicking, waiting
how many true converts can he count
on one hand
two lines, the palmist told me
a baby is one of them
and a variety show of…
