Move Your Hand

Janusz Jurek

Poetry is the logic of imagination.
Art alone has meaning when reality has none.
When sanity fails to save the world,
imagination becomes the only alternative.
We write because the world begs creation.
We write to give form to the void.
We war against the language of other centuries.
Poems are a way of saying yes to no,
of making a new two for one plus one.
Poetry is the logic of imagination.
The moving hand that rights the world.
