Nothing To Add

A Poem

Photo by Jr Korpa on Unsplash

I have nothing to add
as you sit behind
the dark banner of your
considered prose
You reluctantly
set your feet into the golden glare
of the shifting spotlight
forgetting to call for the curtain
Seated at the front
of all this noise
I ban the spectacular silence
and opine on the lack
that I am soaking in
You are curling away from me
static now
in the form of a model
and I make up stories from your
expression
that could be true…
